How much does it cost to have a horse race named after you?

Answer: It varies depending on the racecourse.

The following information is offered by Wolverhampton Racecourse in 2019.

Sponsor a Race – September 21st September .

This a fantastic opportunity to share your message or brand with thousands of people both locally and nationally.

A race sponsorship allows you to sponsor and dedicate a specific race for your occasion. With this package you would have the opportunity to;

Rename all sponsored races and acknowledgements
Logo in the Racecard

1 x full pages of AD space in the programme for your day per race sponsored

Image/adverts will be posted on the screens around the venue plus the large track side screen. (over 80 screens on site)

Regular announcements

Optional Experience- Opportunity to access the parade ring prior to all races

Optional Experience - Present the trophy’s to the winning trainer/owner and photo memento – all provided by the racecourse

Any additional advert boards and hoarding you wish to utilise on the day *production costs may apply.

All our races have coverage on Sky Sports Racing. (Average 1 million reach)

Local and national newspaper coverage

This is available for only £500+vat per race sponsored. As we now only have 4 races available and should you wish to take all 4, I will reduce it by 50%.

Total being £1000+vat and you would be given the headline sponsor.

General race sponsorship

If you were interested in a full card for another race meeting which includes 7 races, I could do it for around £2,000-2,500+vat depending on selected date.

(Reduced from £3,500) Also as a sweetener should you wish to produce a trackside advertising board (our suppliers are some of the cheapest around ) I would be happy to keep it in situ trackside until the start of the All-weather championships.
