Reading Racing Post Entry pages

On the pages with entries in the Racing Post, what do the numbers in the rectangular box before the horses name refer to?

Answer: The numbers in brackets before a horse's name in the paper version refer to the stall in flat racing. The large number on its own refers to the horse race number.

I am unable to trace a number in a rectangular box.

I am also unable to find any numbers you describe in the online version.

If you mean the race card entries with the list of horses there are no numbers before the horse name.

If you mean the statistical data for each horse , obtained by clicking the horse name, there is an entries tab but the page that comes up for futures race entries for the horse does not have numbers in front of the horse name.

Perhaps you could provide a screen shot or another reader may be able to help
