Derby Northolt racecourse 1937

by Lionel
(Watford. Herts uk)

Could you confirm the winner of the Northolt Derby in 1937 was Dolly Dimple, ridden by a jockey named Makinson?

I was born on 30th June 1937 in Eastcote lane, Northolt and the jockey stayed overnight with another jockey named Harvey (Shrimp).

The winner put a £5 pound note into my hand and the horses racing shoe. When I moved I left the shoe hanging in the porch.

Answer: Northolt Park, in north-west London, staged pony racing between 1929 and 1951, and was the first course to pioneer the photo finish and starting gates.

However there are no records of the racing that took place at Northolt as far as I can ascertain.
