Newsletter - Champions Day and Lucky 15 October 16, 2021 |
Hi Are you feeling excited about Ascot's Champions Day Adayar faces up again with Mishriff in the Champion Stakes - both ranked joint 2nd best horses in the world. While Aidan O'Briens's Snowfall, the best horse in the world takes a softer option in tne Fillies and Mares Stakes. The QEII Stakes will feature a clash between Palace Pier, ranked 3rd best horse in the world, and Baaeed. The official going is 'good to soft' which should suit both Stradivarius and young pretender Trueshan in the Long distance Cup. Not to mention the jockeys championship will be decided as Oisin Murphy and William Buick battle it out. I've also got a Lucky 15 selection for you, courtesey of Free Racing Tips. First up we have Selections for Champions Day Ascot 13.25 Hamish Ascot 14.00 Brando Ascot 16.30 Marie's Diamond TODAY'S LUCKY 15 MARTELLO SKY 2.10 – Market Rasen (11/4) – Ended productive novice season in excellent style with listed win in 5-runner contest at Cheltenham in April. Likeable type with a good strike rate and opening mark is fair. PALACE PIER 3.10 – Ascot (13/8) – Potentially the race of the day, with established top-notcher PALACE PIER taking on the up-and-coming Baaeed. The former has a score to settle in this race having met with his only defeat here a year ago and the level he is consistently capable of tilts the scales his way. FLYING STANDARD 6.00 – Wolverhampton (100/30) – Course winner. Good ¾-length second of 12 to Robeam in handicap at this C&D last month, caught further back than ideal. He seems on the up and another bold show likely. HASTY SAILOR 7.00 Wolverhampton 9/4 – He may have got off lightly for a win at Newcastle last time out as the form is proving to be rock solid. On that occasion he beat Second Slip, who won next time out, while the third, Moashaawer was second in the Melrose at York. HASTY SAILOR is a relatively short price, but looks the best bet of the day at Wolverhampton. Click Here to see more of our page on FreeRacing Tips All the best Chris |
