Remember the Placepot advice last week. Well, here's an up date from FRT Last Saturday, I tried to use Form Ratings to piece together the puzzle of the Placepot at Warwick...

And I came extremely close!

For a Placepot to win, you need to find a horse that either wins or places in six back-to-back races at the same meeting. And you can have as many selections as you like in each leg (the more you have, the more you stake).

To find the selections for my Placepot, I simply went with the top HRS and top FRN rated horses for each leg.

Here's the results from it (remember, you only need one horse to place in each race for it to count as a win)...

Race 1 - 12:40pm ✅

4 - NON STOP (Top HRS & Top FRN) - Won

Race 2 - 1:15pm ✅

1 - THIRD TIME LUCKI (Top HRS) - Lost 3 - HADDEX DES OBEAUX (Top FRN) - Won

Race 3 - 1:50pm ❌

1 - COMPLETE UNKNOWN (Top HRS & Top FRN) - Lost

Race 4 - 2:25pm ✅

1 - GINNYS DESTINY (Top HRS) - Placed 3 - GREY DAWNING (Top FRN) - Won Race 5 - 3:00pm ✅

1 - THREEUNDERTHRUFIVE (Top HRS) - Lost 3 - IWILLDOIT (Top FRN) - Won 10 - NOTACHANCE (Top HRS) - Placed Race 6 - 3:35pm ✅

5 - GLIMPSE OF GALA (Top HRS & Top FRN) - Won

As you can see, it was just the third race which let me down. COMPLETE UNKOWN actually came second, but it was in a 4-horse race, so didn't count as a place. Otherwise it would've landed 145pts to a 1pt stake!

I think there's some legs to this strategy for this specific type of bet...
