Hi

Susan Corbett's Newsletter

Another week of sorting the yard – Jamie and Josh making doors, fixing roofs and generally making their CV's ever longer! Meanwhile Codey, Amanda and our yard jockeys Nathan and Edward have been riding the horses. Just two runners this week with Clear Angel not disgraced at York being 5th under Cam Hardie while Les's Legacy had breathing difficulties in his race at Hexham so that's him on the vets list for tomorrow!

We welcomed Jay Kirkman to the yard to practise his Art – he is excellent! Look at the drawing of Sunset Hill – took him not many minutes – a real talent. We may even get a print to Auction at our up and coming Open Day for Owners – Les Waugh has been working hard on unique auction prizes – he has already got signed Breeches for the Dante Meeting, Cheltenham, Derby and the Two Thousand Guineas – amazing work. They will all be framed and, not forgetting the football fans – a signed Middlesborough Shirt. So any other items to auction or raffle be good. This year our charities will be:-

Zoes Place – a Childrens Hospice

Cancer Research

Injured Jockeys ( Graham Lee )

OPEN DAY & AUCTION 4th AUGUST

Meanwhile we look ahead to

Catterick 18th June 5.25 Infinite Honour – should go well- query 1.4 rather than 1.2 and Catterick as a track but he is an improving horse.

Ripon 19th June 6.35 Rogers Dream – 2nd ever run – nothing expected – just future potential!

Haydock 22nd June Maiden Restricted Apache Angel -provisional only.

Hexham 23rd June Debut for Sunset Hill – in the bumper – best watched

Debut Kilmore Rock 2.4 Maiden – best watched

Buddy first time over 2.7 yes best watched!

Horses are also due in from Ireland so plenty to see and think about if anyone would like a yard visit or share!

Not a bad week for a 'quiet summer period'!
