Newsletter - A Lucky 15 For Saturday
January 15, 2022
Hi

A Lucky 15 and A Little Beauty bet from our partners FreeRacingTips

There was another winner to be found yesterday on the Lucky 15 though, FREDDY FANATAPAN at 11/2, who along with NUBLE (11/8) returned a good 9 points profit. A shame a third winner eluded us else we’d have had a triple digit return on our hands. Maybe today’s will be able to do it!

🏇 TODAY'S LUCKY 15

HANDSWORTH 12.15 FAIRYHOUSE 13/2 – HANDSWORTH has got better with each run over fences, improving his finishing position each time and getting off the mark latest when scoring in a tight finish at Navan in December where he beat Siberian Star by a half-length.

Phillip Dempsey’s charge might have won a shade easier had his rider not briefly lost the reins; but the Jeremy gelding stayed on well to snatch the win and the form took a boost when the runner-up went one better in a decent contest at Leopardstown over Christmas.

The handicapper has pushed him up 6lbs for that win, but there could be more in the locker to come over fences and he should make his presence felt again.

MILAN BRIDGE 12.55 KEMPTON 15/8 – MILAN BRIDGE showed an aptitude for the jumping game when winning at the first attempt following a move to Paul Nicholls and the Milan gelding can improve on that performance to go in again here and double his tally.

He looked a stayer on that occasion, rallying well from the last obstacle to run out a one length winner and there could be more to come stepping up in trip given his point-to-point background.

The form of his success looks solid with the runner-up since finishing third to Mr Glass – third in last week’s Tolworth Hurdle – while the third horse home has since won and he can confirm the promise he showed in his victory now trying this much longer trip.

YOU SOME BOY 1.39 WETHERBY 4/1 – YOU SOME BOY is chasing a hat-trick of victories and the Dylan Thomas gelding can oblige punters with another victory. Rebecca Menzies’ charge has shown improved form this season, stepping up from a much-needed return at Carlisle in October to win both subsequent starts at Newcastle and Wetherby respectively, both under this rider who can use his claim on this occasion.

The latest of those victories came over three miles so he’s proven his stamina for this distance and his 4lbs rise in the weights for a defeat of Derrick D’anjou last time out is largely offset by his jockey’s 3lbs claim. He has the potential for further improvement and underfoot conditions shouldn’t inconvenience so he can go in again.

INTUITIVE 1.45 LINGFIELD 7/4 – INTUITIVE has won two of his four starts at this venue and despite running poorly when last seen out it might be worth siding with Simon Crisford’s charge to get back to winning ways.

The Haatef gelding ran out a comfortable course and distance winner back in November, beating Documenting by two lengths after which he was pitched into a Listed contest at Deauville the following month, beating only one home.

That clearly wasn’t his running but better can be expected back at this venue and his smart turn-of-foot will be an asset again at this venue so he is taken to put that performance last time in France well behind him and regain the winning thread returning to calmer waters.

🏇TODAY'S LITTLE BEAUTY LATENT HEAT 12:05 Lingfield 8/1 each way – Possibly not entirely straight-forward, but he’s still fairly unexposed on the all-weather and with a bit more luck, might have won more races than his sole win at Wolverhampton where he won easily and in a good time.

He’s been unlucky not to finish closer on his two subsequent all-weather runs at Kempton having suffered interference both times when looking to pass rivals.

He was poor over hurdles last time but that can be easily forgiven as he’s far too headstrong for that code, and if he’s fresh and ready to roll from his short break, then with David Probert booked and handed an ideal nice draw,

I think he could make his first visit to Lingfield a winning one.
