Susan email:girsonfield@outlook.com Tel: 7713651215 A busy week with first up Rocky and Wee Alki out at Hexham. Rocky was 7/11 and I was not happy with him – we have had his feet xrayed and he needs his feet rebalanced as this is harming his joints. Vet tomorrow so I hope we have hit the spot to get him to realise his potential ( Nathan reported he hated galloping down the hills ).

Meanwhile, Wee Alki was 5/9 and heads for his final novice to get his handicap mark. Once in his own grade I expect to see much better results. Nathan was very happy with his progression – young horses take a little longer!

Then it was our busy Saturday – Josh took Dancer to Newcastle where we hoped to see improvement and we did – still a way to go but he ran well and jumped very well for a long way – he hung up the home straight and we are looking into why that may be.

Meanwhile I went off to Doncaster with the mighty V – he was well behaved for Bekah and I to saddle but got a little on his toes in the paddock. He then showed us the Velasco of last season was back – just faded into 4th at the 11th hour. A very good run tho.

Back up the road for the owners Christmas party where, in the small rush of back at 6 and at the venue by 6.30 I did not have time ( forgot ) to print off a lovely gift from our yard Sponsor Ruth. It is a £100.00 voucher for a SpaSeekers Spa of your choice ( they are all over the UK ) it was meant for the raffle where, as usual, we were overwhelmed by the generosity of our owners with the raffle prizes – we raised £425 for Cancer Research towards our total..

Back to the voucher – anyone interested could you make me an offer and we will add it to the funds? Excellent Christmas pressie ? Apart from the speaker – nuf said - I hope everyone had a great evening – good food, good company and a great team of 'Owners'.

Thank you to everyone who came along – that puts our money raised for charity this year £3325.00 plus what we get for the voucher – great effort folks! Next year we have decided to raise funds for two causes:-

Air Ambulance and Dementia – we already have some exciting gifts to auction at the Summer owners gig!

Dates

17th Dec Catterick Atomic Angel – for Daryl & Shaun Castle view

21st Dec Haydock Champ Royal – for The Northern Racing Club.
