Hi A busy week with the three year olds all back in work. Staff are flat out riding 25 on some days. Its helpful that we have the jockeys Ed and Sam in every week and Nathan threatening to come in every week! Edward had a good winner at Kelso today on Silver Vision while Sam just got beaten on Deep Charm one of his dads horses. Staff wise – Jenna ( who came from Lucinda Russells yard ) passed her three monthly appraisal and now gets a wage rise while Codey age 16, has been offered a Contract of Employment as long as he understands the work part! He is a good rider and has Theatre Light as his favourite! Amanda has been here a year now and she does some office work as well as being an excellent rider. I have just taken on another weekend rider so still looking for one more and we will be sorted! Jamie and Josh continue to keep us all going in the right direction – and I have to say Jamies plaiting of Buddys tail was very good today! Not Buddys day tho – he was keen and jumped better than he ever has but looked like he did not stay – so a shorter distance next time….. Atomic Angel was 6th in a race she won last year but that was n heavy ground and this week it was soft with the race 8 seconds faster this year – she just needs slow ground to grind the competition down! This week looks full of minus temperatures so we will just be steady away with the horses and if it gets really frozen we will decamp to the beach! The following two weeks we have quite a few horses out…..so as we have a week at home if anyone would like to visit the yard please let me know! Kind Regards Susan email:girsonfield@outlook.com Tel: 7713651215
