DARK CRUSADE 3:55 Catterick 5/2 – Dark Crusade is one of the least experienced in the field, yet it’s first four performances have been good enough to justify backing in this contest. His first appearance at Catterick was excellent where he was beaten less than a length.

He was beaten four lengths last time out, however, he’s down three pounds for that defeat and should give a good account.

READY FREDDIE GO 4:30 Catterick 6/1 – Ollie Pears’ Ready Freddie Go has looked sharp in recent outings and although it hasn’t been winning, it hasn’t been far away. He’s down a couple of pounds from those recent third place finishes and this also looks slightly easier than those previous contests.

ROYAL DEBUT 6:10 Lingfield 10/1 – This is a classified Stakes race and Royal Debut’s best recent performance came in a very similar event back at the end of March.

Although he wasn’t so good on the turf at Brighton recently, he could thrive now returning to this venue and this slightly easier contest.

CROOKED CROWN 6:20 Chepstow 5/2 – This race appears to be between Crooked Crown and Dibbsy’s Dream who met in a Grade 2 contest at Haydock at the end of May. The former finished second with an RPR of 70 whereas the latter finished fifth with an RPR of 53.

Both runners were struggling towards the end, so the drop down to 5f will seemingly suit. Although Dibbsy’s Dream should improve, it may not have enough to turn the tables on Crooked Crown on Saturday evening.
