SAFETY FIRST 6:50 Wolverhampton 8/1 each way – Well backed in to 2/1f on debut in a decent fillies’ novice race at Newmarket, however, she disappointed that day and clearly wasn’t ready both mentally or physically.

But she looked more the part on her next start which was here at Wolver over the same trip, getting a fairly easy time from the saddle once the leaders had gone clear, and with her jockey dropping a reign causing her to veer badly left towards the end, there was no chance she could recover.

Her next race at Lingfield looked good form when finishing 7th behind several nice types where again she was given an easy time in the straight with her handicap mark in mind on her third start.

She was then upped to a mile at Kempton last time but spoilt her chance with a slow start and then racing keenly during the early part, leaving her with little chance of getting home in a well-run race featuring a few nice types, the third ‘Midgetonamission’ winning twice to frank the form.

She’s back down to 7f and in what looks a fairly tight heat, I think she looks the one most likely to take a step forward and hopefully win this race on her way.Today's LB comes from the Bookies Enemy
